The newly installed leadership of the Association of Registered Freight Forwarders, Nigeria (AREFFN) led by Alhaji Bala Lawan Daura has outlined a five-pint agenda to drive the Association.
A statement issued by the National Secretary of the Association, Comrade Chidi Anthony Opara, indicated that AREFFN will create synergies with sister associations on one hand and with government agencies on the other hand. This is aimed at helping to create conducive atmosphere for the actualisation of government’s policies in the subsector.
The association also said it will create a positive image by setting up a befitting National Secretariat in Lagos, western zone and a national liaison office in Onne, Rivers State, for the eastern zone, being the largest freight forwarding zone after the Lagos.
It also promised to pursue and complete the formalisation of its ratified amended draft constitution; Conduct a nationwide membership drive and the enhancement of its membership registry as well as conduct credible elections at the national, zonal and chapter levels.
