Nigeria’s frontline entertainment journalist Austin-Fair Nwaulu, who has been down with stroke, has called on well-meaning and kind-hearted people around the globe to come to his aid.

Speaking to our correspondent from his sick bed in Ikeja, Lagos, the Abia State-born veteran journalist and former Entertainment Editor of Hallmark Newspapers said the pains he is currently going through are severe as a result of the ailment which has already paralysed the left side of his body, thus making him bedridden for some three weeks now.

Nwaulu, who had slumped at his Ikeja home before he was rushed to Ifako General Hospital, Ogba, Lagos, said he has not been receiving appropriate medical attention as a result of lack of money.

Is words: “I have been suffering serious pains since about three weeks now when I was hit by this illness. The hospital diagnosed stroke. You can see that the left side of my body is paralysed, I cannot move my body, I cannot fend for myself, I’m totally down. Please help me ask good-spirited individuals and corporate bodies to come to my assistance. Please do not let me die; I still have a lot to offer the country and humanity.”

Nwaulu said that he urgently needs money to take care of his medication for him to live a normal life again but that he cannot boast of even a dime as he has sold off the little belongings he ever had to take care of himself since he went down, more so when one has not made any earning for some time now as a result of the present economic situation in the country.

Financial aid for Nwaulu should be paid directly into his bank account.
