The planned African Descent Creative Industry Leadership Summit originally scheduled from 13th to 18th May, 2025 has been postponed. This postponement is necessitated by the need to give participants and delegates more time to prepare to attend the program which also includes Awards of Honor, pageantry of Arts and Crafts, Fashion, Runway, Cultural parades, Tourism and Hospitality, and the African Descent Beauty Pageant.

In a press release signed by the president/CEO of the Global Initiative for Leadership Success, High Chief Sunnie Chukumele(Eze Okwurume) in Abuja and made available to the journalists.

According to the statement “the African Descent Creative Industry Leadership Summit, Honours, and pageants which is being held in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy is intentioned to create an economic hub and bloc for the industry within the African descent community of the world.

Delegates for the Summit and programmes are drawn from policy makers, industry stakeholders, academics, strategic financial institutions. These includes Ministers, of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy of the entire African descent countries, Embassies and High Commissions of African descent countries in Nigeria, Legislative Committees, on Culture and Tourism, Commissioners for Culture and Tourism, Parastatals and Agencies in the Creature economy, the statement reads.

High Chief Sunnie Chukumele said the program will now hold in October. The organizers of the program, GILS, has advised stakeholders for the grogram to take advantage of this extension to prepare and also seize the opportunity of this unique event which will create the ambience for exchange of friendships and networking for enhanced industry growth, prosperity and development. In the African descent community. He assured that a new date will be announced accordingly.
