The Department of State Services, DSS, has released Ukamaka Ejezie, popularly called Mama Biafra, who is said to be the foster mother of the detained leader of outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
It was reported that Mama Biafra, who has been in the DSS detention for several weeks, on Sunday regained her freedom from the custody of security agencies.
Mama Biafra’s release was confirmed in a statement by Nnamdi Kanu’s lead counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor.
