The spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organization, Dino Melaye has said that the All Progressives Congress, APC is responsible for calls for the removal of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.
Malaye stated this on Monday while speaking during a podcast organized by the leadership newspaper.
The crisis in the PDP began after the fall out in the presidential primaries in June which produced Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate of the party.
Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike had been displeased with the outcome of the election and accused the PDP of manipulating the event.
Wike and his supporters therefore called for the removal of Ayu, insisting that it is the only way balance will be restored in the party.
However, Melaye has alleged that those who want Ayu to vacate the position are from the ruling party.
