Festus Keyamo, the Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, has warned Nigerians planning to move abroad to know that the country is not isolated from current global challenges.
Keyamo was reacting to the massive protests on the streets of Paris, France, over the soaring price of goods.
In a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Monday, Keyamo said the soaring prices of foodstuffs and other goods in the country could be traced to the global crisis.
The minister said Nigeria is not isolated from present global issues, saying that relocating abroad is not the solution to the issue.
The All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain said some politicians who know the global issues are also deceiving Nigerians and playing politics with it.
He wrote: “Massive protests on the streets of Paris over soaring prices. Meanwhile, some are still planning to ‘japa’ abroad, as if Nigeria is in isolation from present global issues. Some who know the issues are also deceiving Nigerians and playing local politics with global issues.”
