The spokesman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, has hailed Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State over an alleged expose on Peter Obi.
It was reported that El-Rufai had on Monday claimed that he was arrested and detained for 48 hours in Anambra State in 2013 on the orders of Obi who was the then Governor.
Speaking at an interactive session organised by the Arewa Joint Committee, El-Rufai said he was placed on house arrest when he visited Anambra on behalf of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to monitor the state governorship bye-election.
El-Rufai, however, said he now has all the security apparatus at his disposal to arrest the Labour Party presidential candidate now that he is in his state, but he is civilized to do such.
Reacting in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Tuesday, Keyamo appreciated El-Rufai for reminding Nigerians of the sordid undemocratic past of the former Governor of Anambra State.
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment said the APC will fight ideas with ideas and not with crude tactics, adding that Nigerians will speak “loud and clear” on election day.
He wrote: “Thank you, your Excellency, @elrufai for reminding us of the sordid undemocratic past of some of these characters posing as today’s heroes. But we shall fight ideas with ideas, not with crude tactics and on election day, Nigerians will speak LOUD AND CLEAR.”
