Disturbing footage captures a horrifying incident where a Syrian refugee repeatedly stabs a toddler in a pram while the child’s mother desperately tries to protect him. The frenzied attack took place in a French playground in the town of Annecy, located in southeastern France, at approximately 9:45 am.
The video shows the assailant, identified as Abdalmash H, 32, rushing into the small playground and mercilessly stabbing the toddler. The mother’s anguished screams fill the air as she struggles to shield her child from the violent assault.
In a subsequent turn of events, the Syrian refugee, who arrived in France the previous year, is captured on dramatic footage being apprehended by armed police officers at the park. The locals had chased him away from the playground before the authorities intervened and restrained him.
Witnesses recount the horrifying scene, describing how terrified mothers rushed past them, shouting “run, run” in the aftermath of the attack. French President Emmanuel Macron has condemned the incident as an act of “absolute cowardice.”
The brutal attack resulted in serious injuries to four young children, all approximately three years old, including a three-year-old British girl, as well as an adult. Presently, two of the young victims and the adult are in critical condition at a nearby hospital.
Eyewitnesses report that the assailant specifically targeted the preschool children, viewing them as vulnerable and easy targets. The playground became a scene of utter chaos and devastation as the knifeman launched his assault on innocent toddlers.
