In a surprising turn of events, approximately 180 Russian soldiers have surrendered to the Wagner Private Military Company (PMC) in the Voronezh region, without any resistance. This surrender has allowed the rebels to freely move towards Moscow and traverse the region, according to Ukrainian military expert Oleksandr Kovalenko.
Reports emerged later that the Wagner PMC, operating in the Bugaevka border crossing located in the Voronezh region of Russia, disarmed a Russian military company effortlessly. This development comes after Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Wagnerites, announced the initiation of a military coup. The Wagner troops have already taken control of Rostov-on-Don and have now entered the Voronezh region.
Earlier reports from Charter97.org indicated that Prigozhin declared a military campaign against Moscow. The Wagner convoys have already entered the Voronezh region, progressing towards the Russian capital with their armored vehicles. Both Russian and international media have reported that Prigozhin’s forces have taken over an undefended Voronezh.
