Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has appointed popular singer Martins Okwun, widely known as J. Martins, as the Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment. The announcement was made by Kazie Uko, Otti’s Chief Press Secretary, in a statement released on Tuesday night.
In addition to J. Martins, the governor also named former Super Eagles forward Kanu Nwankwo as the Chairman of Enyimba International Football Club, based in Aba.
Governor Otti further appointed 28 other individuals to various positions within his administration. The statement indicated that the appointments are effective immediately.
J. Martins has gained recognition and popularity in the Nigerian music industry with numerous successful projects. He has received multiple awards and has made headlines for expressing his opinions on national issues on several occasions.
