The Ondo State Police Command has taken into custody a 45-year-old man, Bankole Oginni, following a gruesome incident involving the death of a woman alleged to be his ex-lover. Authorities reported that the lifeless body of a 45-year-old woman, whose identity has been withheld by the police, was discovered at the residence of the suspect, Bankole Oginni. After arriving at the suspect’s house in response to an invitation from him, the deceased’s daughter was confronted with a horrifying scene: her mother’s lifeless body was tied with ropes, certain body parts had been gruesomely removed, and evident signs of hot water burns were found on her body.
Confirming the incident, Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, the Police Public Relations Officer, stated that the daughter had reported her mother’s disappearance and subsequently traced her to the suspect’s dwelling.
