Former Vice President and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) affirming President Bola Tinubu as the valid winner of the February 25 presidential election. Atiku vowed to take his case to the Supreme Court.
Speaking through his legal team led by Chief Chris Uche, SAN, Atiku stated that he believes he received a judgment from the court but not justice. He stressed the importance of his legal battle for the Constitution, the rule of law, and democracy in Nigeria.
Atiku’s legal team plans to appeal the decision to the Supreme Court, emphasizing their commitment to ensuring that technology enhances election management, transparency, and accountability. They aim to restore faith in democracy and encourage Nigerians to participate in the electoral process.
The legal team has requested the records and judgment from the PEPC and will apply for the transmission of the records to expedite the process. They remain resolute in their determination to pursue this legal challenge, emphasizing that the struggle continues until justice is served.
