In a heart-wrenching story, the winner of the 2022 BBNaija ‘Level Up’ edition, Phyna, has allegedly abandoned her family after winning the grand prize of N100 million. Her triumph was initially seen as a solution to her family’s hardships, but it has turned into a source of distress.
When Phyna was declared the winner of BBNaija Season 7 in 2022, her parents celebrated with joy, believing their struggles were over. However, they claim that their daughter vanished immediately after receiving the prize money, leaving them in the lurch.
Since her victory announcement, Phyna has allegedly not made any contact with her parents, despite her presence on social media, showcasing a lavish lifestyle.
Phyna’s father, Mr. Felix Otabor, shared his heartbreaking ordeal. He stated that what disturbed him most was not her absence but the fact that she had asked him to quit his job as a hearse driver, promising to change their lives. Little did he know that his daughter had other plans.
Otabor, who sold all his cars and used the proceeds to renovate their house as per his daughter’s instructions, stopped working due to the absence of a vehicle. His suffering escalated, and he lost his position as the Vice-Chairman of his association.
The 68-year-old father, perplexed by his daughter’s silence, couldn’t explain her actions or whereabouts. Phyna reportedly no longer responds to their calls and communicates with her family only through social media.
When contacted, Phyna initially claimed to be busy on-site shooting but later engaged in a heated exchange before abruptly ending the call. She did not respond to further attempts to contact her.
