In a significant development for the petroleum industry, Decklar Resources Inc., operators of the Oza oil field, in collaboration with their partner, Millenium Oil & Gas Company Limited, proudly announced the successful delivery of a total of 75,500 barrels of crude oil to two modular refineries in Edo State.
The two state-of-the-art refineries, namely the Edo Refinery and Petrochemical Company (ERPC) facility located in Ologbo, Ikpoba Okha Council, and the Duport Midstream Company Limited (DMCL) facility situated in Egbokor, Orhionmwon Council in the State, have received the substantial crude oil deliveries.
Sanmi Famuyide, the Chief Executive Officer of Decklar Resources, shared insights into this achievement, stating that the deliveries are in fulfillment of contractual obligations with the two refineries for the supply of crude oil for refining purposes.
He emphasized, “Trucking of oil from the Oza Oil Field has continued seamlessly to the ERPC facility and the DMCL refinery, both strategically located in Edo State, Nigeria. As of today, we have successfully delivered a total of over 75,500 barrels, with more than 60,000 barrels delivered to ERPC and over 15,000 barrels to DMCL.”
The ERPC, boasting a daily production capacity of 6,000 barrels, is equipped to produce diesel, Low Pour Fuel Oil (LPFO), and naptha for both domestic use and export. The establishment of this refinery was made possible through the provision of an investment guarantee by the Edo State government under the leadership of Governor Godwin Obaseki. This visionary move paved the way for the construction of the refining facility, thereby significantly contributing to the growth and development of the petroleum refining sub-sector in the state.
This successful collaboration and consistent oil deliveries underscore the commitment of Decklar Resources Inc. and Millenium Oil & Gas Company Limited to fostering the development and sustainability of the petroleum industry in Edo State.
