In response to the recent BBC documentary making serious allegations against the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Temitope Balogun Joshua, Nollywood actress Ronke Ojo has come forward to defend the deceased cleric.
The documentary accused T.B. Joshua of various wrongdoings, including rape, performing fake miracles, torture, and forcing women to undergo abortions. However, in a video posted on her Instagram page, Ronke Ojo shared her personal experience, asserting that T.B. Joshua played a positive role in her life.
The actress revealed that her skepticism towards prophecies changed when T.B. Joshua reportedly healed her daughter of asthma during a visit to his church. Ojo expressed gratitude for the healing and emphasized that something miraculous occurred during that visit.
“Initially, I don’t believe in prophecy, I am not that kind of person because there are so many scammers out there,” Ojo stated in the video. “But when I went to church that fateful day, my daughter had asthma, to God be the glory, he delivered her. Something came out of her mouth which I didn’t believe, and my junior sister experienced something similar. That was when I started going to TB Joshua’s church.”
She went on to describe T.B. Joshua as a “nice man” and shared that, aside from the healing, he was kind to her and her family. Ojo aimed to convey a positive image of the late cleric amidst the controversial claims raised in the documentary.
