In a startling turn of events, a video obtained by SaharaReporters has surfaced, showcasing the late televangelist and founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Temitope Balogun Joshua, denying the biological paternity of Ajoke, the woman who accused him of abuse and torture in a recent BBC three-part investigative documentary.
Ajoke, also known as Ajoke God’swill Joshua, alleged in the documentary that she faced constant abuse and torture at the hands of TB Joshua. However, the newly revealed video presents a different narrative, with TB Joshua explaining how he adopted Ajoke when she was abandoned as a baby in March 2000. He detailed the process of reporting the incident at a police station in Lagos and obtaining permission from the police to adopt her.
TB Joshua claimed that Ajoke’s behavior became problematic over the years, engaging in fraudulent activities, theft, and sexually harassing church disciples. He emphasized her negative influence on prominent individuals, revealing that even the commissioner of police had been involved in tracing her file.
The video showcased TB Joshua introducing Ajoke to the church workers during one of his ministrations, pleading for prayers to help her. He expressed surprise at her influence on people, especially those in positions of power, recounting a letter from a British school detailing her involvement in theft.
According to the late cleric, Ajoke admitted to stealing money from a school in Togo, Benin Republic, as evidenced by a letter dated November 25, 2008. The school’s letter acknowledged the incident, outlining disciplinary actions taken against her and expressing a desire to help her reform.
TB Joshua lamented that Ajoke’s actions were damaging his reputation, revealing letters and documents that portrayed her as a threat to the church and its disciples. He disclosed efforts by the police to take her back to an orphanage home but insisted on retaining custody.
The video further revealed the extent of Ajoke’s negative impact on church disciples, with one leaving the church and returning to Ghana due to her influence. TB Joshua warned about the dangers of adopting children, citing Ajoke as an example and asserting that adopted children might never show gratitude for the care provided.
This latest revelation adds a new dimension to the allegations made in the BBC documentary, raising questions about the complex relationship between TB Joshua and Ajoke, and the potential motivations behind her accusations. The scandal continues to unfold, shedding light on the intricate details of this controversial situation.
