Ahmed Musa, the captain of the Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles, has once again shown his love for humanity and earned the admiration of many Nigerians by announcing a reduction in the pump price of petrol at his fuel station located in Kano.
Last week, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) announced an increase in the pump price of petrol to N617 per litre. However, Musa, who is also a striker for Kano Pillars, took it upon himself to crash the pump price to N580 per litre, making it more affordable for customers.
The generous gesture was announced on his verified Twitter page, where he wrote, “Fuel ⛽️ #580 @MYCA -7 Filling Station Kano.”
Excitement and curiosity among Nigerians were evident on social media, with one Twitter user asking, “How manage Alhaji? N580 in Kano when not in Lagos? Are you whining us?” To which Musa replied, “That is what me I decide to sell my own.”
In addition to his achievements on the football pitch, Ahmed Musa has demonstrated a commitment to making a positive impact in his community by engaging in business ventures. In 2018, he purchased the filling station where he has now reduced the fuel price, and he also owns a sports and fitness centre that features all-weather football pitches in the northern region of Nigeria.
