According to the commander, the suspect employed violence, including attacking the child’s family with objects like burning firewood. Fortunately, Amotekun operatives were alerted, leading to the timely arrest of the alleged kidnapper.
Adeleye stated, “Upon interrogation, we discovered that he is actually a kidnapper, and he confessed that he has been in the trade for a while. Investigation continues on his case before we would finally hand him over to the court.”
The father of the victim, identified as James, recounted how his mother’s discovery of the incident and subsequent outcry led to the suspect’s apprehension. The kidnapper reportedly attacked anyone attempting to rescue the child but was restrained until Amotekun operatives arrived at the scene.
