Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, has responded to claims by the All Progressives Congress (APC) that it intends to win the state in the 2025 governorship election. Soludo, who is a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), asserted that the APC does not exist in Anambra State and maintained that the state is APGA’s stronghold. He dismissed the statements made by the APC state chairman, Mr. Basil Ejidike, arguing that Anambra is naturally aligned with APGA, and no other party can displace it.
In a press release signed by his Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, Soludo highlighted the developmental projects and infrastructural initiatives his administration has undertaken in less than two years. He challenged critics to objectively assess his achievements, emphasizing that Anambra residents are happy with the progress being made in the state.
Soludo refuted comparisons with other states, asserting that Anambra’s political landscape is firmly in support of APGA. He stated that the people of Anambra have embraced APGA as their political movement, and there is no basis for claims that the APC can take over the state. The governor’s response reflects the ongoing political dynamics and positioning ahead of the 2025 elections in Anambra State.
