The Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for nominating Dr. Kingsley Tochi Udeh, SAN, as minister from Enugu State.
President Tinubu on Tuesday forwarded Udeh’s name to the Senate for confirmation. He is to replace Mr. Uche Nnaji, the former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, who resigned following allegations of certificate forgery involving his degree and NYSC discharge certificate.
In a statement made available to journalists, the Chairman of the APC Caretaker Committee in Enugu State, Dr. Ben Nwoye, described Udeh’s nomination as a welcome development and a perfect replacement.
Nwoye praised the nominee’s outstanding academic and professional record, saying, “Dr. Udeh is a great man of impeccable character with verifiable academic credentials. I am confident he will contribute immensely to the success of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.”
He further reaffirmed the Enugu APC’s loyalty to President Tinubu’s administration, expressing optimism that Udeh’s appointment would inject new energy into the government’s reform initiatives and strengthen the party’s position in Enugu State.
