Shan George, Nollywood actress, has denied reports making rounds that she had an affair with popular preacher, Apostle Johnson Suleman.
On Monday, July 25, the controversial blog, Gistlover alleged that some Nigerian actresses, including Ms George, have been having affairs with the Apostle.
In a post on her Instagram page, Ms George described Suleman as one of the kindest and most straightforward persons she knows. According to her, just like in his numerous sermons, Suleman says it blunt as it is, and that’s something she respects in people.
“Not everything is about intimacy. As for Gistlover, he’s one person I’ve never met but I have a lot of respect for him as well because he speaks for the downtrodden and doesn’t care if the bullet hits him.
“Me I no fit deny my people wey I respect. But I never at anytime dated the Apostle. I be water, I no get enemy,” she wrote.
Also exonerating herself from the accusation is actress, Queen Nwokoye. Taking to her Instagram page, Ms Nwokoye pointed out that it is a Nigerian thing to always assume that knowing someone, translates to having an affair with the person.
In a clip which she posted on her page, the actress said that although she normally would not react, her reputation is at stake hence the need to speak up.
“Mistakes are a part of life. Everybody makes mistakes. I am not a saint. I have made my own share of mistakes. But you see one mistake I would never make; sleeping with a man of God. God will judge me. Posterity will judge me. It is something I have never even thought of doing,” she said.
Apostle Suleman, the founder of the Omega Fire Ministries has always been the subject of one scandal or the other. Last year, Nollywood actress, Chioma Ifemeludike alleged that she had an affair with the preacher.
