The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, has reportedly sent the former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose to meet with the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.
It was a move by Atiku to reconcile with Governor Wike ahead of the 2023 general elections.
A source in Governor Wike’s camp that spoke with The Nation said Atiku’s decision to send Fayose is a plan to break the ranks of the Rivers State Governor.
According to the source, they have two characters in their camp, adding that a governor is the weakest link, while another member is unstable.
The source added that they will overcome any obstacle to show Atiku that they are not children
