Silvio Berlusconi, Italy’s former prime minister who passed away last month, has made headlines with his will that reportedly includes leaving €100 million to his girlfriend and €30 million to an associate with mafia ties. Described as a will “worthy of a soap opera,” it reveals the intriguing details of the late billionaire’s final wishes.
Despite never officially tying the knot, Berlusconi’s girlfriend Marta Fascina, who is 53 years younger than him at the age of 33, has been named a beneficiary and is set to inherit a substantial sum of €100 million. This decision comes after his children dissuaded him from marrying Fascina.
In addition to this significant bequest, the three-time Italian prime minister, whose empire was valued at over €6 billion, resolved a long-standing dispute over which of his five children would assume control of his business empire.
Notably, Berlusconi allocated €100 million to his brother, Paolo, in his will. Furthermore, Marcello Dell’Utri, a former senator affiliated with Berlusconi’s Forza Italia party, received €30 million. Dell’Utri had previously served time in jail for his association with the mafia.
The late prime minister’s will has captivated the public’s attention, shedding light on his complex personal life, vast wealth, and intricate relationships.
