The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named Ivorian referee Kouassi Frederic Francois Biro as the match official for the CAF Champions League second preliminary round, second leg encounter between Rivers United of Nigeria and Black Bulls of Mozambique.
The crucial fixture is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, with kickoff set for 4 p.m. Nigerian time.
Referee Biro will be supported by fellow Ivorians Prosper Adiouman and Eba Médard Wenceslas Ettien, who will serve as assistant referees. Patrick Tanguy Jean Philippe Vlei, also from Côte d’Ivoire, has been appointed as the fourth official, while Munkaila Nassam Adam from Ghana will function as the match commissioner.
Rivers United, known as the Pride of Rivers, will look to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg in Maputo, Mozambique, where they narrowly lost to the visiting Black Bulls.
The Port Harcourt-based side will count on home support and their experience in continental competitions to secure progression to the next round of the CAF Champions League.
