Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, Maj. Gen. Christopher Musa, asserted the sacred duty of the Armed Forces of Nigeria to protect the people and the constitution. He made these remarks during the 16th International Defence Industry fair in Istanbul, Turkey.
Addressing the press, Gen. Musa emphasized that darkness cannot drive out darkness, and only light can do that. He emphasized the importance of upholding legitimacy globally, stating that illegitimacy should not be allowed to replace legitimacy.
The Chief of Defence Staff had earlier stressed the importance of a people-centric leadership approach, combined with enhanced welfare for troops and effective inter-agency collaboration. Under his leadership, he envisions a future of defense management that prioritizes the well-being of the people and strengthens cooperation among different agencies.
