Abdulrazaq Ibrahim, a 30-year-old man, and his wife, Nana Ibrahim, have being remanded in jail for beating up a police officer who was sent to arrest them in Niger state.
The couple were on Tuesday arraigned before a magistrates’ court in Madalla town in Suleja LGA of Niger State.
The prosecutor, ASP John Atine informed the court that the couple beat the policeman, Constable, Abubakar Abdullahi, around 2pm on Monday.
He said, “The policeman reported back to the division where re-enforcement was redeployed and the two of them were arrested.’’
The accused however, denied the allegations against them.
The Magistrate, Joy Asabe Shaba, adjourned the case to October 25.
