The Court of Appeal, sitting in Abuja, has upheld the victory of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya in the March 18 governorship election in Gombe State.
Governor Yahaya, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was initially declared the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The affirmation by the Court of Appeal solidifies his legitimacy as the duly elected governor of Gombe State.
This decision follows a legal process that validates the election results and dismisses any challenges to Governor Yahaya’s victory. The All Progressives Congress (APC) continues to maintain its strong presence in the state, as affirmed by the judicial confirmation of the governor’s electoral success.
The Court of Appeal’s ruling adds a significant legal endorsement to the electoral process in Gombe State, bringing a conclusive resolution to the governorship contest that took place on March 18.
