In a tragic incident, Mrs. Amma Buwa, the daughter of Borno State House of Assembly member Bukar Abacha, was reportedly strangled to death by unknown assailants in the Gidan Dembe area of Maiduguri, the state capital. The incident occurred around 6:30 pm on Tuesday and caused a commotion in the area, drawing a large crowd of residents to the scene.
According to sources, the unfortunate incident took place when the husband of the victim left the compound to attend prayers at a nearby mosque. Upon his return, he discovered his wife’s lifeless body with her hands and legs tied behind her back. The couple’s two-year-old child was found crying beside the deceased.
The husband promptly reported the incident to the police, leading to the evacuation of the corpse to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital for autopsy and further investigation. The Gwange Police Division is handling the case.
A family source shared the news on social media, stating that Mrs. Amma Buwa would be laid to rest on Wednesday morning in Maiduguri. The tragic incident has cast a somber mood over the community, with residents expressing shock and grief over the untimely death of the daughter of the state House of Assembly member.
