Dele Momodu, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has unveiled the school calendar of Atiku Abubakar, the party’s 2023 presidential candidate. The calendar, shared by Momodu on Wednesday, features Atiku alongside his classmates and late mother.
Atiku Abubakar had recently faced scrutiny regarding certain discrepancies in his WASSCE certificate, with accusations of certificate forgery. Critics, particularly from the All Progressives Congress (APC), questioned the presence of the name “Sadiq Abubakar” on Atiku’s WAEC certificate, which differed from his other official documents.
In response to the controversy, Dele Momodu took to X (formerly Twitter) to criticize those who were threatening and bullying Atiku over his certificate issues. Momodu shared Atiku’s school calendar and emphasized that explanation and clarification should not be a tedious process when one has nothing to hide.
He captioned the post with a call for transparency: “Explanation is never tedious when you have nothing to hide. It is unfortunate that supposed Democrats resort to bullying and threatening opposition over what should not take five minutes to establish the facts. COMPLETE HISTORY OF ATIKU ABUBAKAR with his classmates, his school calendar, and his dear beloved Mum.”
The release of Atiku’s school calendar comes as political tensions and controversies continue to build in Nigeria in the run-up to the 2023 presidential elections.
