The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has denied the allegation made by singer Skales that its officials invaded his home. Skales had claimed that EFCC officials, armed with guns and hammers, broke into his house while he was sleeping with his 6-month-old daughter.
The EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale, refuted the claims, stating that the anti-graft agency does not conduct raids or invasions. He mentioned that there are established rules and procedures for identifying genuine EFCC operatives, and the described incident does not align with the agency’s operations.
Oyewale suggested that the alleged invasion might be the work of impersonators pretending to be EFCC officials. He emphasized the need for evidence, encouraging Skales to provide photo or video proof of the incident if it indeed involved EFCC operatives.
The denial reflects the EFCC’s stance on the matter, asserting that the agency follows proper procedures and conducts its operations with professionalism and politeness.
