Ejikeme Mmesoma, who was allegedly involved in the forgery of her unified tertiary matriculation examination (UTME) result, has offered her apologies to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). She made her statement on Wednesday during her appearance before an ad hoc committee of the House of Representatives that is investigating the matter.
Ishaq Oloyede, the JAMB registrar, and other high-ranking officials of the board also attended the committee hearing.
Ejikeme pleaded for leniency and requested the lifting of the imposed ban on her.
“I feel a debt of pain for letting you down,” she expressed remorsefully during her testimony.
