Demola Odulaja, the estranged husband of Farida Abdulkabir, popularly known as Farida Sobowale and CEO of House of Phreedah Body Care, has opened up about the reasons behind their split, shedding light on allegations of promiscuity, lies, and covetousness, among other issues. The couple had an elaborate wedding, but the marriage lasted for only about two months.
In an interview conducted by Yoruba social commentator ArewaTopeFamous on Instagram Live, Odulaja shared his side of the story, addressing the circumstances that led to their breakup. He stated that their relationship, which spanned over 20 years, became strained due to Sobowale’s alleged promiscuous lifestyle and other issues.
Odulaja recounted instances of Sobowale’s involvement in multiple intimate relationships simultaneously, both with him and other men, even before they got married. He also mentioned her frequent and unexplained visits to his brother’s residence, raising suspicions about her actions.
Regarding Sobowale’s claims and accusations, Odulaja denied being a gigolo, asserting that he comes from a wealthy background and has been living a lavish lifestyle for a long time. He emphasized his affluence and mentioned living in a 22-bedroom mansion in Gbagada, as well as flying first class even before his association with Sobowale.
Odulaja shared that their relationship began in 2010, after he returned to Nigeria from London. He disclosed that he took Sobowale to China to start an importation business in that same year, which proved to be successful and marked the beginning of her international travels.

“I am extremely wealthy I live in a 22-bedroom mansion, if I count 20 of my friends inside the 20 Pheerda has slept with 18. When I got back to Nigeria from abroad in 2009 Pharreda came to Lagos at 2010 that same year I took her to china embassy with me so she can start travelling to buy and sell things from China me that she’s calling a gigolo.”
“In that same year I told her to stop following one of my friend she went behind my back continued to still sleep with him even after I warned her, She went and told my friend that I told her to stop following him and the same friend told me that my girl is an ashewo I told my friend to not disrespect phareeda”
“My brother is my neighbor and farida use to go and stay in my brothers house, also one Alhaji in my area also told me he is sleeping with farida”
“Farida said I’m a gigolo, but I live in a 22 bedroom Mansion and My brothers duplex is beside my house pharreda goes to my brothers house too, Pharreda will be in my brothers from morning till night I asked her what are you always doing there or do you want to still start sleeping with my brother too”
I am not a Gigolo and my father is extremely wealthy and I have been flying first calss since ask anybody in London. Now in 2015 she was in my house in fact it was from my house she got married to her first husband Tunde shobowale. That same 2015 I was doing politics runs with Dayo Amosun that I spent $2 million dollars contesting for house of reps. I had to step down due to the politics issues.

He also mentioned having affairs with Sobowale during her previous marriage to Tunde Sobowale, from whom she has three children. However, he remained silent about the rumored N100 million wedding that Sobowale allegedly financed on her own.
Sobowale was restrained from attempting suicide by passers-by on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos after her marriage fell apart. However, when contacted for a comment on the allegations made by her estranged husband, Sobowale did not respond to text messages or emails.
