In a brazen act, suspected bandits have kidnapped Aondo Ver, a director at the Federal Housing Authority in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The incident occurred at Pambara New Extension, Bwari Central Area of the Federal Capital Territory, around 12:30 am on Thursday.
The targeted area, Pambara New Extension, is situated approximately 200 meters away from a military camp and checkpoint in Bwari. The kidnappers reportedly gained access to the location by cutting through the barbed wires surrounding it.
Despite the proximity of the military camp, all attempts by local vigilantes to rescue the victim were unsuccessful due to their inadequate armament.
SaharaReporters, the news outlet that broke the story, also reported that Josephine Adeh, the FCT police spokesperson, was unreachable for comment when they attempted to reach her.
The kidnapping of a Federal Housing Authority director in close proximity to a military camp raises concerns about the audacity and brazenness of criminal elements in the region. Authorities are expected to respond promptly to secure the release of the victim and address the growing security challenges in the area.
