The newly appointed Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, is expected to formally tender his resignation as a Lawmaker on the floor of the House of Representatives today.
Gbajabiamila has made this decision in order to fully devote his attention to his new role as Chief of Staff.
There have been concerns about his ability to effectively handle both positions, especially considering his recent inauguration and active involvement in voting for the House’s leadership, which occurred on Tuesday.
According to reliable sources, it has been confirmed that the esteemed representative of Surulere 1 constituency will indeed submit his resignation.
Consequently, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will be required by law to conduct a fresh election to choose his successor.
