Suspected unknown gunmen have reportedly abducted Chief Eyo Edet, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State. The incident occurred on Monday, June 12, at his petrol station, Eyotech Nigeria Limited, located in the Oron local government area of the state.
According to a source in Uyo, the former deputy coordinator of the Divine Campaign Organisation of the PDP in Oron during the 2023 election, known as Eyo Aswang, was confronted by his kidnappers at his petrol station and forcibly taken away in a Sienna Car.
The source further revealed that Chief Eyo Edet was then transported by his abductors to a waiting speedboat, while the Sienna Car they arrived in was allegedly set on fire.
