The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, along with the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), visited former President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State. The purpose of the visit was to express solidarity, pay homage, and introduce the newly reconstituted NWC to the former President.
During the visit, Ganduje shared his excitement about recent tribunal rulings in favor of the APC. He expressed confidence that the party would also secure victories in the upcoming off-season elections in Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo states.
Ganduje stated, “We are happy with the tribunal rulings where our party is leading across the country. Of course, seeing is believing but that’s not enough. We have off-season elections coming up in Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo states, and we will also win, Insha Allah (by the will of God).”
The former Kano State governor highlighted the purpose of the visit, including showing appreciation to President Buhari for his service to the country during his eight years in office and congratulating him on Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day.
Apart from visiting Buhari, Ganduje also paid homage to the 92-year-old Emir of Daura, HRH Umar Umar, at his palace. The APC delegation also met with party members and officials at the APC local government office during the visit.
