Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa has issued a reassurance to the people of the state, urging them to maintain calmness, peace, and adherence to the law in the wake of the tribunal’s decision nullifying his election. The governor emphasized that, until a different verdict is reached by the Supreme Court, he remains their governor.
Addressing a gathering of APC supporters at the Government House, Governor Sule characterized the tribunal’s decision as a temporary setback and a wake-up call. Despite the judgment, he affirmed his commitment to carry on with his duties as the Governor, just as he has been doing. The governor also revealed that his legal team would appeal the tribunal’s decision, indicating his confidence in the judicial process.
Governor Sule called on his supporters to remain calm and continue their normal activities, assuring them that he is undeterred by the judgment. His message aimed to instill confidence and stability among the supporters, emphasizing that the legal battle is part of the democratic process and that he remains focused on serving the interests of the people.
