Outgoing Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has expressed his optimistic vision for Kogi to surpass Lagos in terms of development. He shared this ambition while leading the governor-elect, Usman Ododo, on a visit to Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of President Bola Tinubu.
Governor Bello highlighted that his emulation of President Tinubu’s footsteps is rooted in the desire to see Kogi State emulate the developmental trajectory of Lagos. He expressed confidence in the capabilities of Usman Ododo, whom he referred to as his worthy successor.
Bello stated, “In the next administration and nearest future, I envision Kogi to be trailing behind if not overtaking Lagos in terms of development; that is why we are emulating and following the footsteps of President Tinubu.”
This declaration reflects Governor Bello’s aspiration for significant developmental strides in Kogi State, drawing inspiration from the transformation experienced by Lagos under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.
