In the early hours of Sunday, an incident of kidnapping occurred in the Mpape area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), where gunmen stormed the area and kidnapped two residents. The gunmen, numbering six, fired sporadically during the operation before whisking away the victims.
A resident, identified as Yakubu, confirmed the incident and stated that the gunmen carried out the kidnapping at approximately 1 am. The FCT police command spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, also confirmed the incident, but she assured that the police successfully rescued the victims. The victims will soon be reunited with their loved ones, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspects involved in the crime.
