Former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has been summoned by the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) for questioning regarding the controversial dollar videos. These videos, which surfaced in 2017, allegedly show Ganduje receiving kickbacks from contractors.
Initially, Ganduje denied the accusations, claiming that the videos had been manipulated. However, a recent report by a newspaper revealed that during the ‘A One Day Public Dialogue on Anti-Corruption Crusade in Kano’ held on Wednesday, Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, Chairman of the PCACC, confirmed the authenticity of the incriminating videos.
Rimingado stated that since the release of the footage, skeptics had challenged him to provide evidence either proving or disproving the former governor’s involvement. He also disclosed that an investigation was initiated by the commission in 2018 but was hindered by Ganduje’s immunity as governor.
It has been confirmed that Ganduje has now been called in for questioning, as stated by Rimingado during a program on Thursday.
