The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has denied a report that President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered his removal as the spokesman of the All Progressives Congres, APC, Presidential Campaign Council.
A news platform had reported that Buhari directed Keyamo’s removal as the spokesman of the campaign council over alleged constant demarketing of his administration despite being a serving minister.
The source added that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, was also said to have insisted on his removal following the latest interview on Channels Television.
According to the source, the Presidency has already informed the party leadership about the call for his removal.
However, in a tweet on Monday via his Twitter handle, Keyamo refuted the report that President Buhari has ordered his removal, describing it as fake news.
He accused the opposition of planting fake stories to destabilise the ranks of the ruling party, saying that the move was the height of the panic mode
