A shocking and gruesome incident unfolded in Ipele, Owo council area of Ondo State, as a labourer, Muhammed Musa, confessed to brutally attacking Pastor Dada Itopa on his farm. Startled by the revelation, it was disclosed that the labourer’s violent act was driven by a sinister demand from a herbalist, who required a fresh human head. The pastor’s wife, Bose Dada, also fell victim to the horrifying attack, leaving her injured and currently hospitalized.
According to a report by Vanguard on August 14, the disturbing incident occurred when the unsuspecting pastor and his wife, Bose Dada, were about to commence work on their farm. The labourer, Muhammed Musa, along with another accomplice, betrayed the couple by suddenly turning against them.
The shocking twist took place when Musa pleaded with Pastor Itopa to lend them his machete for clearing the land, claiming that his machete was sharper. Unfortunately, the pastor’s kind gesture proved to be a fatal mistake, as he handed over the machete to Musa, unaware of the sinister intentions that lay behind the seemingly innocuous request.
Tragically, Musa seized the opportunity to unleash a brutal and deadly attack on Pastor Itopa, hacking him to death right before the eyes of his wife, Bose Dada. In the chaos that ensued, the pastor’s wife attempted to flee but suffered grave injuries in the process. She is presently undergoing treatment at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Owo, battling the physical and emotional scars of the traumatic incident.
Musa’s confession sent shockwaves throughout the community, as he revealed that the gruesome act was orchestrated at the behest of a herbalist who demanded a fresh human head. The unsuspecting couple fell victim to this horrifying conspiracy, leaving one dead and the other gravely injured.
Funmi Odunlami, the spokesperson for the Ondo State Police, confirmed the incident, shedding light on the ongoing police investigation into the matter.
