NDDC Brings Renewed Hope to Delta with Inauguration of Warri Office Complex

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has demonstrated its commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda with the commissioning of a multi-million naira, state-of-the-art office complex in Warri, Delta State.

The edifice, constructed under the commission’s seventh board, was inaugurated by Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, in the company of the Minister of Niger Delta Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, and members of the National Assembly Committees on NDDC led by Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong and Hon. Erhiateke Ibori-Suenu.

Also in attendance were Mr. Chiedu Ebie, NDDC Board Chairman; Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, Managing Director of NDDC; Senator Ned Nwoko; and several traditional rulers, including the Orodje of Okpe, HRM Orhue I; the Ovie of Uvwie, HRM Abe I; and the Pere of Akugbene Mein, HRM Kalanama XIII, among others.

Governor Oborevwori commended the NDDC for strengthening its presence in Delta State, describing the new complex as “a renewed symbol of partnership, purpose, and progress” between the Commission and the State Government.

He said,

“This is not just about opening a new building. It represents a stronger partnership and a clear commitment to sustainable development in the Niger Delta.”

The Governor called on the NDDC to collaborate with the state in rehabilitating critical infrastructure, particularly the region’s dilapidated road network.

“I appeal to NDDC — let us work together to fix federal roads in our region. These roads have become a nightmare for our people,” he said. “That’s why we have embarked on the reconstruction of the Spare Parts to Ohore Road at the cost of ₦35 billion.”

Oborevwori further expressed readiness to partner with the NDDC on strategic projects such as the Omadino–Okerenkoko–Escravos Road, reaffirming the state’s commitment to developmental partnerships at both regional and national levels.
