Nguru Uboma Ahia Ise, a prominent community in Aboh Mbaise LGA of Imo State, has expressed strong condemnation over the heinous assassination of HRH Eze James Ndubuisi Nnamdi (Mmirioma), Durujiaku Uboma II, the Traditional Ruler of Nguru-Nweke Autonomous Community. The community has invoked its traditional spiritual authority to place a curse on the assailants, their sponsors, and facilitators, for their grave desecration of traditional institutions and values.
In a communique issued by Uboma-in-Council and signed by key leaders including Eze D. O. Njoku Ekwueme II Nguru Nwe Nkwo Autonomous Community, Nze Ano Anyanwu Onaka Nguru, and Dr A. C. Additionally, two years ago, Eze Anthony Anyanwu of Amaohuru Autonomous Community was assassinated in his palace by unidentified assailants.
In response to this latest tragedy, Uboma-in-Council has mandated Nguru Development Union to draft a strong petition to the Inspector General of Police and the Commissioner of Police in Imo State. The petition seeks a comprehensive investigation into the brutal assassination of Eze Nnamdi, with the aim of identifying the perpetrators, ensuring justice is served, and preventing further occurrences of such extra-judicial murders in Nguru Mbaise.
