President Bola Tinubu has expressed his commitment to making Nigeria one of the “most conducive places on earth” for foreign investments, emphasizing the removal of bottlenecks and creating a thriving environment for investors. He made these remarks during a meeting with Gopichand Hinduja, Chairperson of the Hinduja group of companies in India.
President Tinubu is currently in India for the G20 summit, scheduled to take place from September 9 to 10 in New Delhi. During his visit, he aims to attract investments to Nigeria that offer lucrative opportunities for investors and significant job creation and revenue generation for the country.
The President assured Hinduja of his full support in streamlining the ease of doing business in Nigeria, emphasizing that no obstacles would stand in the way of investors seeking to leverage the vast Nigerian market and the industrious nature of its people.
“We are here for business. I am here to personally assure our friends and investors that there is no bottleneck that I will not break. Nigeria will become one of the most conducive places on earth to make good profits and create lasting jobs. With my support, there is nothing standing in your way of enjoying the unrivalled opportunities presented by our massive market and the ingenious & hardworking nature of the Nigerian people. We are open for business,” President Tinubu stated.
In response, Hinduja thanked President Tinubu for his cooperation and expressed confidence that the President’s commitment to facilitating business during his tenure as Lagos state governor would be replicated in his administration as Nigeria’s leader.
