The Nigerian Army has reiterated its unwavering loyalty to President Bola Tinubu as the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Army also promised to maintain its professionalism in carrying out its duties, ensuring the President’s vision of a safer and more secure Nigeria becomes a reality.
Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, the Chief of Army Staff, made this statement during the commissioning of several projects at the Government Day Secondary School (GDSS) in Malumfashi, Katsina State on Tuesday.
Yahaya called on the residents of the state to continue providing valuable information to the Nigerian Army and other security agencies, enabling them to deliver the necessary services and create a secure environment for all. He expressed appreciation to the people of the state for their consistent support of the Nigerian Army’s efforts in maintaining a crime-free society.
Addressing parents, staff, and students of the school, Yahaya urged them to make good use of the newly commissioned facilities and ensure their proper maintenance. The projects, implemented under the Department of Civil Military Affairs of the Army Headquarters, included two blocks of four classrooms, two staff rooms with facilities, and an assembly hall. These infrastructure developments were designed to enhance the learning environment for the students.
In his welcome address, Major General Sani Mohammed, the Chief of Training (Army), explained that the projects were initiated to complement the existing infrastructure and foster a positive relationship between the Nigerian Army and the host communities. Mohammed expressed his belief that the newly commissioned facilities would significantly improve the standard of education in the Malumfashi Local Government Area of the state.
The Nigerian Army’s commitment to supporting President Bola Tinubu’s vision and ensuring a safe and secure Nigeria reflects its dedication to serving the nation and protecting its citizens.
