In a tragic turn of events, Onoh Chukwuma Richard, the CEO of Faso Energy Limited, has reportedly taken his own life after facing financial setbacks and losing a significant sum of money in a bet. The heartbreaking incident unfolded as he shared his plans on Facebook.
According to reports by ÑaijaCover, Richard consumed the deadly pesticide, Sniper, after borrowing a considerable amount of money and losing it in a bet. In a live video posted on Facebook, he donned a lemon-colored t-shirt and wordlessly conveyed his intentions. In a chilling post, he wrote, “Today is my last day on earth. I’m going to meet my maker.”
Friends and well-wishers attempted to reach out to him upon seeing the distressing posts. When they found him in pain, he was rushed to Madonna Hospital in Umuahia. Despite efforts to save him, the Abia-born businessman passed away.
A video taken at the hospital revealed Richard wearing the same clothes from his final live video. Some friends suggested that he may have ingested the pesticide before going live on Facebook.
The tragic incident has left behind an elderly mother, whom Richard often mentioned on his Facebook posts. Just weeks prior to the heartbreaking event, he had shared about his mother urging him to find a wife and get married.
