In response to allegations made by a group called the Society for Women Empowerment, the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has denied the accusation of consistently beating his wife, Oluwaseun.
Through his media aide, Kenneth Odusola, the deputy governor issued a statement describing the allegation of domestic abuse as a fabrication aimed at causing unrest in the state. He vehemently denied any case of domestic violence with his wife, stating that the accusation is false and unfounded.
Aiyedatiwa warned those responsible for spreading this falsehood to cease their actions or face the repercussions. He emphasized that the allegations were not surprising, as there had been prior knowledge of attempts to create a crisis in the state.
The statement clarified that Mrs. Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa has been residing and working in the United Kingdom for several years, even before her husband assumed his public office in Nigeria. She frequently travels between the UK and Nigeria to care for their home and children who are based in the UK.
