Daniel Bwala, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has voiced concerns over the performance of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, suggesting that it may face challenges similar to his predecessor. Bwala, who served as the spokesperson of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council for the 2023 elections, expressed these views on Channels TV on Monday.
Bwala pointed out that Nigerians were urged to be patient for eight years during the Buhari administration, but he observed that little progress was made during that time. Drawing parallels, he emphasized that Tinubu has already spent 31.8 percent of his first term, during which the suffering of Nigerians has allegedly increased.
Speaking on the issue of patience, Bwala stated, “When people talk about being patient and waiting, you have to look at the time frame the public officer is expected to execute the work.” He highlighted that President Tinubu has less than 70 percent of his first term remaining, urging for tangible deliverables and practical outcomes rather than promises.
Bwala criticized the budget and policy issues of the Tinubu administration, calling for visible results and practical achievements. He emphasized the need for effective governance and expressed the sentiment that Nigerians are tired of rhetoric and want to witness concrete progress in various aspects of the country’s development.
The statement from the PDP chieftain reflects the growing demand for accountability and tangible outcomes from the current administration, as Nigerians remain vigilant about the promises made during electoral campaigns.
