Following the confession made by former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose that he worked against the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, a member of the party’s National Executive Committee, Timothy Osadolor, has stated that the leadership of the PDP will address the issue soon.
During an appearance on Channels TV’s ‘Politics Today’ on Sunday, Fayose openly declared that he worked against Atiku “hundred percent.” He emphasized that Nigeria is bigger than any political party or individual, including Bola Tinubu. Fayose admitted that he did not support the PDP during the last election and stated that he is not a liar or a pretender.
While the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, and his deputy, Ibrahim Abdullahi, were not available for comment, Timothy Osadolor, who serves as the party’s Deputy National Youth Leader, criticized Fayose’s actions and described him as shameless.
Osadolor expressed that Fayose’s confession did not come as a surprise to those who were aware of his past acts of indiscipline, sabotage, and anti-party activities. He believed that if Fayose had any moral compass, he would resign after making such a confession.
Osadolor affirmed that the PDP will address the issue and provide a response to Fayose’s actions soon.
